HVAC Brass Flare Union – SAE 45° for Refrigerant Lines

Brass flare union for HVAC and refrigeration flare connections. 45° SAE flare to flare. Forged brass, SAE J512/J513 compliant. Connects copper tubes without brazing. Sizes 1/4″ to 7/8″. Working pressure 700 psi.

45° Flare Union – Brass Flare to Flare Connector for HVAC

Our Brass Flare Union is a precision-machined fitting designed to connect two 45° SAE flared copper tube ends in a straight line for air conditioning, refrigeration, and heat pump systems. Manufactured from forged brass, it offers high mechanical strength, vibration resistance, and a pore-free structure that prevents refrigerant seepage.

The union provides a metal-to-metal seal — the flared tube end is clamped between the flare nut and the fitting body, creating a reliable, leak-proof connection without the need for brazing or open flame. This makes it ideal for service connections, line extensions, and field repairs where soldering is impractical or unsafe.

Key Advantages:

  • No Brazing Required – Metal-to-metal flare seal connects copper tubes without open flame, ideal for field service and repair work in refrigerant lines

  • Forged Brass Construction – Eliminates porosity and seepage risk found in cast fittings, ensuring a leak-proof seal under high pressure

  • Vibration Resistant – Forged structure withstands vibration in compressor lines better than machined or cast fittings

  • 45° SAE Flare Seat – Precision-machined flare seat creates a reliable seal that can be assembled and disassembled repeatedly without damage

  • Versatile Tube Compatibility – Works with copper, brass, aluminum, and welded steel tubing that can be flared to 45°

Applications:

  • Connecting two flared copper tube ends in refrigerant lines

  • Service connections and line extensions in split AC and refrigeration systems

  • Field repairs where brazing is impractical or unsafe

  • Propane, fuel, and natural gas lines (UL listed for flammable liquids)

  • OEM assembly of air conditioners, heat pumps, and refrigeration units
